MAG-O is the new technology and e-commerce business of Manchester Airport Group. Launched in 2017 in an effort to improve the online and in-terminal experience for passengers, MAG-O purposely sits at arms-length from the rest of the group to encourage the development of innovative and fresh thinking away from the day-to-day operation. Working with OBI Property, the brief required furniture to promote MAG-O’s forward thinking philosophy.
Collaborative working was to be a big factor with agile workspaces, high touchdown tables and high stools in the open plan office space, a ‘War Room’ for standing meetings, bleacher tiered seating with low mobile stools and several lounge areas.
A stylish and vibrant contemporary colour scheme was chosen with extensive use of black, grey and orange. These colours were carried through onto the furniture with black frames, orange screens and seat pads.
